first electric scooter protector of the world

This project was the final project of university with the objective of protecting the users of electric scooters from accidents, a project never created before. The project was divided into 3 phases:

Phase 1 - Product analysis: An investigation was carried out on electric scooters and types of protections where we had to create a totally new design.

Phase 2 - Design and construction: The first protector for scooters in the world has been designed from scratch according to the needs of the studied users. A space has been created in which the user is protected from frontal and lateral blows by a shell made of ecological materials with interior and exterior padding, with multi-purpose functions such as a movable visor, folding the scooter or a bag to put objects and with adapted ergonomics to the average number of users who carry out these uses of transport.

Phase 3 - Functional Design Mock-up: In the last phase, the model was created on a 1:1 scale made of foam, methacrylate and a small strips of padding, painted and fully assembled with the components. The goal was to create a full vision of how it would look in real life in proportions and aesthetic.

With a stylish design, a lot of uses and inspired by a model face of a women give us an attractive aesthetic.

USES

The principal uses are to protect against impacts, save objects in a bag, raise and lower the dome and fold the protector to make the transport more confortable.

RENDERS

The proportions, design, multiple uses and so makes the product very useful for people in cities.
